Today, the number of such programs that can supposedly quickly decrypt a forgotten password is quite a lot. But not all of them do it quickly and even more do not cope with this task at all. The above program is not a 100% panacea, because it all depends on the complexity of the password.

To help you understand why things are so complicated, it is worth looking at one example. A certain user created an archive with a password and successfully forgot it, the password was simple - only 4 characters. To solve this riddle, a special program needs to go through almost a million combinations. Ask, where does this figure come from? Everything is very simple: there are 26 Latin and 33 Cyrillic beeches on the keyboard + 10 numbers, in total 70 characters, which give a little more than 900 thousand. Now add one-, two-, and three-digit passwords to this number.

Therefore, there is no reason to seriously hope for such programs, since in a few hours it will not be possible to find a password longer than 5 characters. After installing the program, which is no different from other similar ones, launch it. Click the "Start" menu, go to the "All Programs" section and in the Advanced Archive Password Recovery folder, click on the utility shortcut.
Step 5
In the program window that opens, specify the path to the archive with a password, for this click the "Open" button, select the file and press the Enter key. In the utility window itself, there are several tabs, filling in which will maximize the search time. It is worth noting that the search speed is directly proportional to the speed of your computer, so if you have a choice, give preference to a more modern powerful computer.
Step 6
On the first tab "Set" you must specify the type of characters that the password contains. For example, numbers and Latin letters. You can also specify with which digits you want to start and end the dialing.
Step 7
Go to the "Length" tab and set the estimated size of the password to the archive. If you do not have this information, it is recommended to set the maximum values. The settings on the other tabs are set by default and should only be changed in rare cases. The dictionaries tab will not be available in the free version.
Step 8
To start guessing the password, click the "Start" button, close all background programs and leave the computer turned on until the end of the operation. With a large number of characters in the password, the operation can take from several hours to several days.
