But sometimes, through negligence, you can set a password and after a while forget it. Also, recently, archived files with passwords have been distributed on the Internet. But to get access to the file, you need to pay for a password.

Step 1
In such situations, the question immediately arises about the possible removal of the archive password. Although it is impossible to simply remove the password, since the files inside such archives are encrypted. The only way is brute force. There are programs that allow you to do this, and if in the case of a rar archive it is problematic to determine the password, since much depends on its length and character types, in the case of a zip archive, things are different, and the chances of successfully decoding the password are much greater.
Step 2
Download the latest version of ARCHPR software and install it on your computer. Run the program. Click "Open" in its menu. Then, using the browse, find the required archive, select it with the left mouse button, then click "Open" from the bottom of the window. Now in the main menu of the program, find the "Type of attack" parameter. Click the arrow below this option and select Guaranteed WinZip Decryption. After that, press "Start" in the program menu. Now a lot depends on the version of the archiver with which this archive was created. If earlier versions of the archiver were used to create it, then the chances of decryption are higher, if new versions, then the chances of a successful outcome decrease.
Step 3
If the previous method did not help you, select "Overkill" in the "Attack type" parameter. Then go to the "Length" tab. For a zip archive situation, set the length to between one and ten characters. Of course, if you know the exact number of characters, for example, if you decode your personal archive and you simply forgot your password, then you just need to put the same value in the minimum and maximum columns. Now press "Start". The password search process will begin. Be prepared for a long wait for it to end (the procedure can take more than ten hours). After the operation is completed, a report appears. If all goes well, the password will be there.
