The creation of a digital signature presupposes the presence or receipt of a signature certificate proving identity. The certificate can be issued by a third-party certification authority or a trusted partner of Microsoft Corporation. At the same time, it is possible to create your own digital certificate.

Instructions
Step 1
Press the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the system and go to the "All Programs" item.

Select Microsoft Office and expand the Microsoft Office 2010 Tools link.

Specify the item "Digital Certificate for VBA Projects" and enter the desired name in the corresponding field of the "Create Digital Certificate" dialog box that opens.

Click OK to confirm the selected changes are applied and open the Word or Excel document to be signed. to perform the operation of creating a signature line.

Point with the mouse cursor to the selected location for the signature line and go to the Microsoft Office Signature Line item of the Signature Line drop-down menu in the Text section of the Insert tab.

Fill in the required fields in the Signature Settings dialog box and click OK to confirm the command.

Call the context menu of the created signature line by clicking the right mouse button and select the "Sign" item to sign the document with the addition of a digital signature.

Enter a sample of your signature in the box next to the "X" label to add a printed version of your signature and click the Select Picture button to add a handwritten version.

Specify the desired image in the "Select Graphic Caption" dialog box and click the "Select" button to confirm the application of the selected changes.

Expand the File tab and select Info under Backstage View.

Select the "Protect Document" item in the "Permissions" group to perform the operation of adding an invisible digital signature and select the "Add Digital Signature" command.

Click OK to confirm your agreement with Microsoft's terms of use for digital signatures and specify whether you want to sign in the Purpose of Signing Document field in the Signature dialog box that opens.
