Step 1

On your desktop, click the "Start" button and select "Run …". The Launch Programs dialog box will open. In the "Open" field, enter the name of the utility - msinfo32. Press the Enter key.

Step 2

The "System Information" window will appear on the screen, which provides complete information about your computer. In the left part of this window there is a tree list of resources and connected devices of the computer. On the right there is a window where data about the selected device or resource is displayed.

Step 3

Select the top line "System Information" on the left of the list. General information about the configuration of your computer will immediately appear on the right.

Step 4

For more detailed information on a specific device in the left part of the window, in the tree-list, select the corresponding line. The required data will be shown in the right half of the window in the "Element" and "Value" fields.

Step 5

If you need to know the configuration of a remote computer included in a shared local network, select the main menu items: "View" - "Remote computer …". Enter the computer name in the field that opens. Click the "Ok" button. The window will display information about the remote PC.
