Instructions
Step 1
Open your browser, go to avs4you.com and download AVS Video Converter. Run the downloaded file to install the program on your computer.
Step 2
After installation is complete, open AVS Video Converter and click on the Browse button on the right side of the screen. Select the mpg file you want to convert. Multiple files can be selected for conversion.
Step 3
Adjust the conversion parameters. To do this, click on the To Avi button in the upper left corner of the screen to convert the file from mpg to avi format. To further customize the settings, you can either select the Edit Profile command on the right side of the screen, or use the Profile settings list. You can configure the following parameters such as codecs, frame size, sound quality, frame rate, maximum file size. The highest conversion quality will be set by default.
Step 4
Please provide the output. To do this, click the Browse button next to the Output File Name field and select a location on your computer where the new file will be saved. Enter a name for the avi file in the Output File Name field if you want it to be different from the mpg file.
Step 5
Convert your files. To start the conversion process, click the Convert Now button at the bottom left of the screen. Then click the Advanced button to monitor the progress through the status indicator.
Step 6
When all the files have been converted, the Information window appears on the screen and a message indicating that the process is complete. Click the Open Folder button to open the folder with the converted file, or the Close button to close the Information window.
