The taskbar is used for quick and easy access to all the main functions of the operating system. The taskbar contains the Start menu, the quick launch bar, the language bar, and the tray. All the necessary elements for working with the operating system are attached to the taskbar.

An unpinned taskbar can be resized and repositioned on the desktop, i.e. this panel can be on the right, left, or even on top of your desktop. Sometimes this feature is very convenient. For example, to save space for viewing photos and texts when your computer monitor is less than 17 inches.
There are several ways to pin the taskbar, each method is pretty simple.
Right-click on the taskbar and select "Dock Taskbar" from the menu that appears.

Right-click on the Start Menu, select Properties. In the window that opens, open the "Taskbar" tab and click "Dock the taskbar".
Step 3
The latter method is a little more complicated, but is a guaranteed result of getting rid of the problems of docking the taskbar. It so happens that in case of operating system failures, it is impossible to pin the taskbar using the above methods. In this case, the operating system registry will come to your aid. To start it, click the "Start" menu - the "Run" command - enter "Regedit" and click "OK". A registry editor window will appear in front of you. Any add-ons in the system are displayed precisely in the registry, it can be compared with a personal diary or medical book of any person.
The left margin contains several folders with unfamiliar names. Open the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" folder by clicking on the "+" next to the folder - "Software" - "Microsoft" - "Windows" - "CurrentVersion" - "Explorer" - "Advanced". There are many files in the "Advanced" folder, you will need the "TaskbarSizeMove" file. Find it using search (Ctrl + F) or manually. Open this file by double clicking and set the value of this file to "0". Click OK. Changes have been made to the register.
