Step 1
Install the WinRAR program on your computer, which has sufficient functionality to recover the damaged archive. Additional information is added to any file during its compression, allowing the object to be restored in case of damage. Of course, this does not mean that the file can always be recovered, but in many cases it will be highly likely.
Step 2
After installing the program, you should try to open the damaged file again. It is necessary to write down or remember its name when an error is displayed in order to abort the operation. Then open the archive and find in the list the file about which there was information with an error. Select it by clicking the left mouse button.

Now, using the WinRAR program menu, select the "Operation-Restore archive" option. A window will appear, which is better to skip, since the application will automatically detect the type of archive in it. The user just needs to choose a path to save the information.
Step 4
To do this, select the "Browse" option, then specify the desired folder and confirm the action. A window will be displayed with the process of restoring a damaged archive, the time of which will vary depending on its size and the processing power of the computer. If the process is successful, then the bottom of the window will display the inscription "Finish".
Step 5
To see the result, you need to click on the folder where the save was made. Files can be opened directly from the archive or by extracting them. The original name of the restored archive will be changed. But you can always rename it again.
