Many buttons of multimedia keyboards are sometimes not used due to the fact that the user is simply uncomfortable with their purpose - someone is used to switching the sound in the player directly from the program, someone does not use a calculator, and someone does not need a browser call button. In fact, you can customize the commands according to your own preferences and it's pretty easy to do.

Step 1
Download and install the program to change the key assignments of the MediaKey keyboard. Naturally, this is not the only program of this purpose, it just seems to be the most pleasant of all the options due to its very simple and intuitive interface. Run it, you will see a large window with several tabs. Go to the first of them "Buttons".
Step 2
Click the Add icon in the open dialog box. You will have an additional window in which you will need to specify a button or a combination of keys, which you will often use and process with shortcut buttons in the future. Buttons can also be assigned within different registers, for example, it can perform one action when normally pressed and another when pressed in combination conditions.
Step 3
Click on the button that you want to set the execution of any action and enter its name in the MediaKey. However, the program itself can sometimes suggest the name, but it often happens that instead of it a long incomprehensible code appears in the dialog box.
Step 4
Select the required action in the middle column and configure the parameters for its launch. After that, add, according to the described scheme, assignments for all other keys that you are going to use in the future.
Step 5
If it is convenient for you, you can customize not only the shortcut buttons in the program, but also edit the assignments of standard keys and their combinations; for this, proceed absolutely in the same way as described above. By the way, this program is also relevant for owners of ordinary keyboards. In them, you can assign combinations of any buttons with the Win key.
Step 6
Save your work by clicking on the floppy disk icon. If you want to change the parameters of the program, go to the "Settings" tab.
