Instructions
Step 1
The first step is to choose a provider operator. Pay attention to all the clauses of the agreement: termination procedure, payment terms and conditions for connection.
Step 2
Purchase the required length of fiber optic or coaxial cable. If your personal computer does not have a built-in TV-out, buy a TV tuner and set-top box.
Step 3
Connect the TV tuner to the motherboard of your personal computer. Download "fresh" drivers from the manufacturer's website and install them. Restart your operating system for the updates to take effect.
Step 4
Connect the set-top box to a personal computer and to a power source. Install a voltage rectifier and APS station to avoid power outages. You can connect an unlimited number of computers in your apartment to cable TV, as you pay only for the access point.
Step 5
Connect the cable from the access point to the set-top box, and from there to the TV tuner. Lay the cable so as to avoid mechanical damage (preferably under a plinth).
Step 6
Go to Start and select Run. Next, find the “TV-out settings” command and configure the signal from the source. To prevent it from blocking, disable your firewall.
Step 7
Go to Windows Media Center software. Open the TV Shows tab. In the dialog box that appears, you will be able to configure the TV channels. You can use this program to record TV programs on your personal computer and watch them later.
