Almost all modern games with drawn "real" graphics make high demands on the performance of the computer, and especially on the parameters of the video card. Each game has minimum requirements on the packaging. If your computer does not meet these requirements, then it makes no sense to buy a disc: the game will either give an error and will not start, or it will come with graphic distortions. Therefore, before going to the store, you should decide on the power of the video card.

Step 1
You can view the parameters of the video card installed in the system unit of your computer through the properties of the operating system. Click the Start button and select Run. In the dialog box that appears, type the command dxdiag and press enter on your keyboard. Click OK and wait for the DirectX utility to load.
Step 2
On the first tab, you can see the computer model and the total RAM size. You might find these parameters useful too. Go to the "Display" tab. On the left side of the window is the name of the video card and its main parameters - this is the information you need. There are other ways that you can see which video card is worth.
Step 3
Right-click on the "My Computer" icon and select "Device Manager" or "Properties" in the drop-down list, and already in the properties window - the same "Device Manager".
Step 4
The Manager window displays all information on the components of your computer. Select the third item "Video adapters" and open information about it by clicking the left mouse button on the small triangle on the left. The full model name of the video card appears. Remember it.
Step 5
In the browser, enter the name of the video card in the search bar and press enter on the keyboard. Follow the first link, paying attention to whether the name of your video card completely matches the specified one. It is easy to find a complete description of a graphics device on the Internet if you know the exact model.
Step 6
You can decide on the name and model of the video card if you remove the case cover and just read the sticker on the board itself - a conscientious manufacturer always indicates the full name of the device, however, there are exceptions.
