Most of the users do not need to know exactly what components are installed in their computer. As long as it functions and performs all the tasks set by the owner, there is no need to be interested in its "stuffing". But now the moment comes when new games start to "slow down", which means that it's time to think about upgrading (modernizing) the video card. And for this you need to know which card was installed in the computer.
Necessary
Computer, video card, initial computer skills, AIDA64 Extreme Edition program
Instructions
Step 1
Download and install the AIDA64 Extreme Edition software. The program is available for download on the developer's website https://www.aida64.com/downloads as a free trial, with the option to purchase the full version later. The installation process is very simple, you just need to select the folder in which the program will be installed, as well as accept the terms of the license agreement
Step 2
After the installation is complete, the program will start automatically. To later launch it yourself, just click on its shortcut on the desktop. In the window that appears, the menu column is located on the right. Select "Display" in it. In the drop-down additional list, find the items "Windows Video" and "GPU".
Step 3
Let's start with the "Windows Video" item. Select this element by clicking on it. The name of the series of the video card and the amount of memory installed on it will be displayed in the right window. Below are the driver versions currently installed on the system. However, neither the exact name of the graphics processor nor the type of memory used may be included in this information. Therefore, let's move on to the next point.
Step 4
Highlight the "Graphics Processor" item. It contains basic information, which includes the exact name of the video adapter, memory type, bus width and frequency characteristics of the product.
