A computer is a capricious thing that requires careful maintenance, which consists in regularly cleaning its insides, lubricating (if necessary) various parts of the computer with thermal grease, replacing or repairing faulty parts. With a laptop, things are more complicated. So a faulty or broken keyboard of an ordinary desktop PC can simply be replaced with a new one (they are cheap), but it will be problematic to replace a laptop keyboard. It remains to remove and repair it.
Instructions
Step 1
You should immediately warn you: removing the keyboard is not one of the simplest procedures. Therefore, if you doubt your abilities, it is better to consult a specialist. If you have enough skills for such work, then you can start.
Step 2
In most laptops, regardless of manufacturer, the keyboard is held in place by latches that go into the case. Most often there are four of these latches: two on top and two on the sides. Although some laptops may not have latches. In this case, you will have to remove the upper front panel above the keyboard.
Step 3
Now let's talk about the process of removing the keyboard itself. First of all, use a thin screwdriver to push in the upper left latch, then slightly lift the edge of the keyboard. To do this, you can pry it off with a needle or gently pull it up by the extreme keys. If one or more keys have flown off, it doesn't matter. They can be glued.
Step 4
Raising the edge slightly with a needle, press in the next latch. Then slide the needle into place on this latch and slightly lift the second edge of the keyboard. Freeing up a third. The latch, you can already support the keyboard with your hand. Now you just need to release the last latch and then pull out the keyboard.
Step 5
But that is not all. To disconnect the keyboard from the laptop, you need to remove the ribbon cable from it by turning up the black frame. On this, the issue of removing the keyboard from the laptop can be considered closed.
