Many owners of pocket personal computers feel the need to synchronize data and then save their copies to a computer. Depending on the device model, manufacturer and operating system, the sequence of actions can be very different. It looks especially confusing for a PDA based on the Windows Mobile platform.
Necessary
- - computer;
- - USB cable for connecting a PDA;
- - Bluetooth adapter (in case it is convenient for you to use a wireless connection of devices);
- - the latest version of the ActiveSync program.
Instructions
Step 1
Download and install data synchronization software. The latest version of ActiveSync is best suited for these purposes, but if you know more convenient synchronization programs, they will do too, the sequence of actions will be approximately the same.
Step 2
Use a USB cable to connect your mobile device to your computer. This will launch a window of your pre-installed ActiveSync. Follow the instructions of the program, performing the first connection setup. Pay special attention to what name your device will be assigned by the program. This can be viewed in the About tab.
Step 3
Answer the request of the program about the need to synchronize with the server. If you do not have an ActiveSync account, you can skip this step.
Step 4
Enter the necessary data for work in the window that appears: server name, login, password and login domain. After that, the data will be checked and additional configuration will be loaded.
Step 5
Select the checkboxes of all the types of data available on the PDA that you want to synchronize. When you click the "Settings" button opposite a certain type of data, you can select additional synchronization parameters for this particular position. You can also configure the method of data transmission during synchronization in this window, perhaps it will be more convenient for you to perform this procedure via a wireless connection.
Step 6
Click the "Finish" button when the program has completed all the actions necessary to complete the preparation of the synchronization process. After that, the synchronization will begin, in which in no case disconnect your mobile device from the computer.
Step 7
If you need to change the parameters of the process, open the program, open the "Settings" item through the menu and change the attributes you need.
