The browser writes the files of the pages viewed in the cache memory and stores them there for a certain time, so that later, when you return to this page, you do not waste time and resources on a new download. If you need to view the contents of the cache, this can be done in two ways - find directly the folder with files on the computer (in the Documents and Settings directory) or do a number of simple manipulations in a running browser.

Step 1
Turn on the display of hidden folders and files on your computer. To do this, open any Windows folder and select Folder Options from the Tools menu. In the window that opens, select the "View" tab, in the list that appears, put a marker in the line "Show hidden files and folders" and click on the "Apply to all folders" button.
Step 2
Find the directory where your browser stores cache data:
• Internet Explorer C: / Documents and Settings / your username / Local Settings / Temporary Internet Files
• Google Chrome C: / Documents and Settings / your username / Local Settings / Application Data / Google / Chrome / User Data / Default / Cache
• Mozilla Firefox C: / Documents and Settings / your username / Local Settings / Application Data / Mozilla / Firefox / Profiles / kbthds8h.default / Cache
• Opera C: / Documents and Settings / your username / Local Settings / Application Data / Opera / Opera / cache
The files saved in the cache are at your disposal.
Step 3
Launch Mozilla Firefox browser. To view the contents of the cache memory, type the command “about: cache” in the address bar of the browser, on the page that opens, click the List Cache Entries link.
If you want to clear the cache, select the "Options" item in the "Tools" menu, and in them - the "Privacy" tab. Click on "clear recent history". You can configure the settings for saving the cache in the same place, on the "Additional" tab in the "Network" menu.
Step 4
Launch Opera browser. To view the cache, type “opera: cache” in the browser command line. It is possible to view the entire contents of the memory in its entirety, or to select files by separate categories.
To configure settings and clear the cache, select the General Settings item in the Settings menu or press the Ctrl + F12 key combination. In the window that appears, select the "Advanced" tab, and in it the "History" item.
Step 5
Launch Internet Explorer browser. Select "Internet Options" from the "Tools" menu. In the window that opens, you can configure the settings for saving the viewed pages and view the contents of those already saved by clicking on the "Show files" button.
Step 6
Launch Google Chrome browser. To view the contents of the cache, type the command “about: cache” in the address bar of your browser. To clear memory, click on the settings button in the upper right corner of the browser window (a wrench is drawn on it) and select the "Options" item, and in it the "Advanced" menu. In the item "Personal data" click on the button "Delete data on viewed pages".
