It is not always necessary to extract the files and folders contained in the archive in full, sometimes it is necessary to retrieve only one or a group of packed objects. Of course, you can unpack the entire archive and delete the unnecessary ones, but some archives contain hundreds of files and weigh several gigabytes, which makes such a decision impractical. It is quite easy to extract some of the content if you have any program installed on your computer that can work with zipped files.
Instructions
Step 1
Start the regular file manager of your operating system - in Windows it is Explorer, and it opens by pressing the WIN + E hotkey combination, or by double-clicking the My Computer shortcut located on the desktop. In the file manager, go to the folder where you plan to extract part of the archive.
Step 2
Create a subfolder in this directory - it will be needed so that the extracted files do not get confused with the already existing files and directories of this folder. To create a new folder, right-click the free space in the right pane of the Explorer, open the "New" section in the pop-up context menu and select the topmost item ("Folder"). Explorer will add another folder to this directory and, by default, will name it "New Folder" - replace the name with a more appropriate one.
Step 3

Step 4
Open the archive containing the objects you need. This is done by double clicking on the archive file. In this case, of course, some archiving program must be installed on your computer. Explorer will launch it and transfer the archive file you have chosen, and the program will display in the window a list of directories and files contained in this archive.
Step 5
Select the files you need from the general list. If they are located one after the other, then select the first, then press the SHIFT key, and while holding it, select each next one by pressing the down arrow key. If the files are located in different parts of the list, then left-click the first one, and click the rest while holding down the CTRL key.
Step 6
Move the files of your choice to the directory you created for them. Almost all archivers designed to work in Windows support the drag-and-drop operation between the windows of open programs, so you can simply drag the selected group with the mouse. You can also use the corresponding command in the archiver menu - its location there depends on the program used.
