Step 1
Install the most recent service packs for your operating system. After that go to the "Start" button menu, select "Run". Go to the system registry. To do this, in the command line, type regedit and press Enter. Review the registry keys. Find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SYSTEM / CurrentControlSet / Class / {4D36E96A-E32511CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} / 0001 among them. Open the "Edit" menu item and select "New".
Step 2
Enter the ResetErrorCountersOnSuccess command in the DWORD parameter to clear CRC errors. Press Enter to confirm this action. Return to the "Edit" menu item. Click Change. In the field of the newly created parameter, enter the value 1. To apply these changes and save them, click the OK button.
Step 3
Go to the "Start" button menu, select "Run" again. Type regedit again at the command prompt. Find the following HKEY_ LOCAL_MACHINE / SYSTEM / CurrentControlSet / Control / Class / {4D36E96A-E325-11CE-BFC108002 BE10318} / 0002 among the registry keys.
Step 4
From the Edit menu, select New. Set the new parameter to DWORD value to clear errors. Enter ResetErrorCountersOnSuccess in the parameter string. Press Enter to confirm the action. Go to the "Edit" menu item again.
Step 5
Select "Change". Assign the value 1 to the newly created parameter. Press the OK button. If the CRC error cannot be corrected using this method, contact the Microsoft Support Center.
