Step 1
Many applications can be used to change the format of an audio file. If you do not need to change the playback parameters in detail, then use the Total Video Converter program. Despite its name, it is designed to work with audio formats as well. Install the specified program.
Step 2
Run the tvc.exe file and wait for the program to open. Click the New Task button and click on the Import File item. In the window that opens, select the file you need to reformat. This will open a window with a list of available formats. Select the type of the new file by clicking on a specific button.
Step 3
After going to the main menu, click the Convert Now button and wait for the new file to be created. After the program finishes, the folder containing the received audio file will automatically open.
Step 4
In the event that you need to change the playback parameters of a track, it is better to use relatively powerful programs designed to process files. Download and install Sound Forge software. Run it and open the File menu. Select "Open" and select the desired audio file.
Step 5
Change the desired composition parameters. With this program, you can perform a huge number of manipulations with the audio track. After completing the preliminary preparation of the track, press the Ctrl and S (save) keys. In the menu that opens, specify the file format and set the bit-rate value. Select the playback mode (stereo or mono). Specify the folder where the file will be saved. Enter its name.
Step 6
Confirm saving the file with the specified parameters and wait until this procedure is completed. Check the quality of the resulting track.
