To effectively teach how to work with a computer in the classroom, you need to know how to properly set up a local network between devices and make classes for students as convenient as possible.

Step 1
Connect and configure the equipment required to create a local network. The main element that allows you to configure the network is, in fact, the network card. It is present on all modern computers, but if it is not there, you will have to connect it separately. This element must be present on all devices connected to the LAN. Connect all computers to the router using a twisted pair cable: connect one end to the router and the other to the network card in the system unit.
Step 2
Configure an individual IP address for each computer in the classroom. Go to "Start" and select the "Control Panel" menu item. In the window that opens, find "Network Connections" and click on them. From the icons that appear on the screen, select the one that is responsible for the local network, and open the context menu of this section with the left mouse button. Click on Properties.
Step 3
Click once on the Internet Protocol (TCP / IP) section and click on the "Properties" button. In the opened settings, check the box next to "Select the next IP" and write the following numbers in the field: 192.168.1.1. Opposite the words "Subnet mask" should be the following code: 255.255.255.0 (this code is universal for all PCs in the classroom). The IP computers connected to the network must differ from each other by the last digit in the range from 1 to 255.
Step 4
Set the computer name. Go to the "Control Panel" folder in the "System" section, and then to the "Computer name" tab. Pressing the "Change" button, fill in the requested information and mark the item "Working group", giving a name to this group. Computer names must not be repeated.
Step 5
Configure access rights. To do this, go to the "User Accounts" item in the control panel and activate the "Guest" icon. Then go to the "Administration" section in the same directory and click on the "Local Policy" section. In the explorer that opens, click on "Assigning rights to users". Now, on the right side of the explorer, delete the line "Access Denied: Guest" by pressing Delete.
Step 6
Share files. To do this, select the required folder on the administrator's computer and select Properties from the context menu. In the "Access" tab, configure the parameters that suit you.
