Instructions
Step 1
Set the BIOS to boot from CD-ROM, insert the installation disc into the drive and reboot (for Windows XP).
Step 2
Press the R key when the dialog box appears with the option to install Windows using the Recovery Console (for Windows XP).
Step 3
Enter the value 1 when the message “C: / WINDOWS. Which copy of Windows should you sign in to? and press Enter to confirm the command (for Windows XP).
Step 4
Enter the administrator password when the “Enter administrator password” message appears and press the Enter key (for Windows XP).
Step 5
Enter the fixmbr command at the C: / Windows prompt (for Windows XP)
Step 6
Press the Y key when the system displays a warning about writing a new MBR (for Windows XP).
Step 7
Enter fixboot when prompted to write a new boot sector under C: (for Windows XP).
Step 8
Enter the Y value in the dialog box that opens to confirm the command execution (for Windows XP).
Step 9
Wait until the following dialog box appears indicating that the boot sector was written successfully and enter the value exit to reboot (for Windows XP).
Step 10
Press the Del key, enter BIOS Setup and choose to boot from hard drive (for Windows XP).

Boot from the installation disc and select the "Install Windows" section in the Windows Boot Manager window (for Windows Vista).
Step 12
Press the Enter function key and wait for the installation files to load into RAM (for Windows Vista).
Step 13
Select the desired language in the language selection window and click the "Next" button (for Windows Vista).
Step 14
Wait until the System Recovey Options window opens and the recovery program determines where Vista is installed (for Windows Vista).
Step 15
Specify "Startup Repair" in the next dialog box that opens and click Finish (for Windows Vista).
