Instructions
Step 1
Open two photos in Adobe Photoshop (the one with which and the one to which you want to transfer the face). To load the image, press Ctrl + O or in the main menu select the File and "Open …" items, then go to the directory with the required file, select it in the listing and press the "Open" button.
Step 2
Create a selection area covering the entire face in the photo from which you want to transfer it. Use the tools of the groups Lasso Tool and Marquee Tool.
Step 3
Adjust the selection area with a quick mask. Press the Q key on your keyboard or the Edit in Quick Mask Mode button on the toolbar. Activate the Brush Tool. Choose a suitable brush from the Brush drop-down panel. Set the foreground color to black. Using a brush, remove excess selection areas. Similarly, choosing white, add the necessary areas to the selection. Exit quick mask mode by pressing Q again or the button on the toolbar.
Step 4
Transfer your face from one photo to another. Copy the current selection to the clipboard. To do this, press Ctrl + C or select the Edit and Copy items from the menu. Switch to the window with the image where you want to insert the face. Press Ctrl + V or choose Edit and Paste from the menu. Close the source image window.
Step 5
Select the face in the target image. Turn off the visibility of the current layer in the layers panel. Switch to the bottom (background) layer. Follow the steps similar to those described in the second and third steps.
Step 6
Remove the face from the background layer image. In the menu select items Layer, New, "Layer From Background …". In the New Layer dialog, click the OK button. Press the Delete button or select Edit and Clear from the menu.
Step 7
Align the transferred face with the original image. Activate and turn on the visibility of the top layer. Select Layer, Arrange and Send to Back from the menu to bring this layer down. Activate the scaling mode by choosing the menu items Edit, Transform and Scale. Press and hold the Shift key. Move the corners of the frame in the workspace to resize the image. Move your face to the desired location using the mouse. Click on the button of any tool and click the OK button in the window that appears to apply the changes. While doing this, it might make sense to temporarily increase the opacity of the top layer by setting its Opacity parameter.
Step 8
Fit the transferred face to the original image. If there are transparent areas, fill them with a suitable background using the Clone Stamp Tool. Remove possible defects using the Healing Brush Tool or painting with a brush. For better blending of images, you can make some areas in the top layer semi-transparent by making adjustments with a quick mask.
Step 9
Evaluate the results of the work and save the image. Select the appropriate scale for viewing using the Zoom Tool. Make sure the image alignment is good. Return to the machining process if necessary. Press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + S or Alt + Ctrl + Shift + S and save the photo to a file.
