It is convenient to place icons on the Quick Launch bar, which are most often accessed by the user while working on the computer. If there are too many such programs, you may need to increase the size of the panel.
Instructions
Step 1
The Quick Launch is part of the taskbar. It is located to the right of the Start button. You can expand the space for icons in several ways: either customize the taskbar, or set the size for the Quick Launch only. Although these methods can be combined with each other.
Step 2
First, make sure your taskbar is configured to display the Quick Launch pane. To do this, right-click on the taskbar and select "Toolbars" from the context menu. Make sure that there is a marker next to the "Quick Launch" sub-item. If not, put it by clicking on the required line with the left mouse button.
Step 3
Move the cursor to the taskbar again and right-click on it. In the drop-down menu, remove the marker from the "Dock taskbar" item. After that, you can start adjusting the sizes of the required elements. The borders of each toolbar in this mode are indicated by a dashed line, this will help you better orient yourself.
Step 4
To enlarge the quick launch bar directly, move the cursor to its right edge, the cursor will change to a two-sided right / left arrow. Press the left mouse button and, while holding it, drag the edge of the panel to the right side. After setting the desired size, release the mouse button.
Step 5
If there is still not enough room for all the icons, move the mouse cursor to the top edge of the taskbar and wait until the cursor changes to a double-headed up / down arrow. Hold down the left mouse button and drag the edge of the panel up. This will expand not only the taskbar, but also the quick launch area. Application icons can be arranged in several rows.
Step 6
After the items are sized to the desired size, do not forget to pin the taskbar. To do this, click again on any of its free space with the right mouse button and set the marker opposite the corresponding item with the left mouse button.
