Excel not only performs the tasks of building charts based on the entered data, but also performs editing. Note that this is not available for every Excel file.
Necessary
Microsoft Office Excel program
Instructions
Step 1
Start the Microsoft Office Excel program on your computer, and then open the file with the charts you have built. Select among them the type of which you want to change in the future by clicking the left mouse button. Go to the menu for configuring chart parameters.
Step 2
Select the chart element you want to change from the menu. Click on the data series, and then on the tabs named "Standard" and "Non-standard" find the final version of the chart you are editing in the field called "Type", which is located on the first tab.
Step 3
If you want to apply a cylindrical, pyramidal, or conical type to a column or 3-D bar chart data series, select the appropriate value in the type selection box.
Step 4
After that, be sure to check the "Apply" box, otherwise the diagram will not change. Please note that the sequence of steps performed may vary depending on the version of Microsoft Office Excel you are using.
Step 5
If you are unable to change the chart type, edit the file in Microsoft Office Excel of the version in which it was created. Also try using versions earlier than 2007 or Open Office Excel for editing. In some cases, when the Excel file was originally protected, the chart type cannot be changed.
Step 6
Also, pay attention to whether the diagram is a diagram, and not a picture inserted into the document, since sometimes there are such options. Also, use the help for your version of Microsoft Office Excel in order to find out information on actions with charts and other operations performed, do not forget about special sites, forums and reference books.
