There are two ways to get started in the Windows operating system: the classic login, when you need to enter a username and password, and the standard welcome screen. If you are sure that the information on your computer does not need to be protected from unauthorized access, you can use the welcome screen.
Instructions
Step 1
To opt out of classic login, in Control Panel, expand the Accounts node by double-clicking on it. Click on the "Change user login …" hyperlink and in a new window, check the "Use the welcome page" checkbox. Use the "Apply parameters" button to confirm.
Step 2
It is possible that the system prohibits changing the login. A message appears: "NetWare Client Services has completed the Welcome Screen Shutdown …". To fix the problem, you need to remove the NetWare service from the network connection properties.
Step 3
In Control Panel, expand the Network Connections node. Call the "Local Area Connections" context menu by right-clicking on the icon. Choose "Properties". On the General tab, highlight Client for NetWare Networks and delete the entry.
Step 4
If there is no such item, add this customer to the list. Click the Install button. In the Select Network Component Type window, the Client entry is active by default. Click "Add" and confirm the action by clicking OK. In the "General" tab, select the new entry and delete.
Step 5
You can change the login method using the registry. Press Win + R keys to bring up the "Open" line and enter the regedit command. Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE / Microsoft / Windows NT / CurrentVersion / Winlogon in Registry Editor.
Step 6
On the right side, find the LogonType parameter. In the "Value" field should be written 1. If the value is set to 0, double-click on the parameter with the left key and in the "Change DWORD Parameter" window enter 1. Otherwise, you can change the value of the parameter by selecting the "Change ".
Step 7
You can enter the registry editor in another way. Click "Start" and choose the "Run" command to bring up the "Open" line.
