Logging into BIOS on different laptops is done in different ways. If in computers, for the most part, the launch of this program is carried out by a single script, everything is much simpler here.
Instructions
Step 1
Reboot the operating system installed in your laptop. When you turn it on, pay attention to the inscription on the first screen. If the function is supported by your motherboard, press Pause and carefully read the text of the stopped loading screen.
Step 2
Find the phrase Press F10 to enter setup. Any other key or even a combination can be substituted for F10. However, it is for most compaq motherboards that the F10 command is used.
Step 3
If you cannot read the inscription on the screen, use the most frequently encountered commands to enter the BIOS. These are F1, F2, F8, Esc, Del, F11, F10. You can also look at the instructions for your particular laptop model on the Internet, for this, just look at its markings on the packaging or on the back cover.
Step 4
Also search for your motherboard model by looking at its name in Device Manager. It can be opened in System Properties by right-clicking My Computer and choosing Properties. On the hardware tab, you will find the launch button for the menu you need. Then rewrite the name of the motherboard and execute the corresponding query in the search engine of the command to enter the BIOS.
Step 5
If you are going to make any changes in the BIOS, find out exactly the purpose of this or that function and what results will change its value, since this program is responsible for the operation of the contents of the entire computer. Use the arrow keys to navigate through the menu, plus and minus keys to change the value. Basically, the BIOS is used to change the settings of the initial boot devices in order to install the operating system from the disk - for this, put your floppy drive in the First Boot Device position and save the changes. After installation, return the original BIOS setting.
