With any operating system, certain operational problems can occur from time to time. Regardless of whether you are still using the good old Windows 98 or the newest to date Windows 7, you have probably had system crashes. Step 1
If your operating system is Windows 7, and the recycle bin is not on the desktop, do this. Right-click on an inactive part of the desktop. A context menu will appear. From this menu, select the Personalization option. A window for setting the operating system interface will appear, in which in the upper right corner select the item "Change desktop icons". An additional configuration window will appear. In the Desktop Icons section, check the Recycle Bin checkbox. Then click "Apply" and save the settings by clicking OK. The previously deleted recycle bin will now be displayed on the desktop again.
Step 2
For owners of computers with the operating system Windows XP, this method of restoring the recycle bin on the desktop is suitable. Click Start. Select the "Run" line and enter the command gpedit.msc in it. A window will appear in which the second section is titled "User Configuration". In this section, select the Administrative Templates component. On the right side of the window, double-click on the "Desktop" component. Then double-click again on the option "Remove the trash can icon from the desktop." After that, check the "Not configured" option and click "Apply". Close all active windows and restart your computer. After restarting it, the trash can again be available on the desktop.
Step 3
If the previous method did not help you, then you can simply create a cart shortcut. Open "Folder Options" and select the "View" tab. Then uncheck the box next to Hide system files. Then select "Folders" on the toolbar. Then in the list that appears, find "Trash" and drag it to your desktop. After the recycle bin shortcut is on the desktop, make the system folders hidden again. To do this, check the box next to this item back.
