The disappearance of the basket from the desktop is quite common. The user himself can delete the basket due to inattention, but it happens that it disappears also due to internal interference (for example, after using tweaker programs).
Instructions
Step 1
Try the easy recovery paths first. Open "My Computer" and in the upper control panel, click the "Folders" button, or right-click on any folder and select the "Explorer" menu item. A tree of folders will open on the left. Scroll the slider to the very bottom - there will be a trash can icon that you can drag to the desktop.
Step 2
If you are a user of the operating system "Vista", you can use the following provided method. Right-click on the desktop and select "Personalization" from the menu that opens. In the left column, select "Change Desktop Icons" and check the box next to the word "Trash". Then click "Ok".
Step 3
If these methods do not work, then you will have to resort to using the registry. This method is good because it is suitable for all operating systems. In order to restore the icon, you need to drive the regedit command in the "run" line (the "Start" menu) and click ok. Then you need to go this path: HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerHideDesktopIconsNewStartPanel and change the value of the parameter {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} to zero (0).
Step 4
If you deleted not the icon, but the trash can itself, then it can be restored. To do this, we drive in the same rededit command in the "Run" line. We move to the NameSpace section along the path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoft Windows CurrentVersionExplorerDesktopNameSpace. In the section, right-click, select "Section" in the "Create" item. There we manually register {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} and press enter. On the right, right-click on the "default" line and click "Change". In the value field, write Recycle Bin and click "OK". Then restart your computer.
