Setting up a satellite tuner is a complex process. First of all, this is due to the direct tuning of the antenna, for which special equipment is used. People who are trying to tune satellite tuners for the first time face a number of difficulties.
Necessary
connectors for connecting the tuner to a TV and antenna, satellite tuner, satellite antenna, TV, tuner instruction manual
Instructions
Step 1
The first step in setting up a satellite tuner is to call a specialist who, using special equipment, will aim (position) the satellite dish at the desired satellite. Unfortunately, you cannot perform this action yourself.
Step 2
Satellite tuners and TVs have different connectors for connection. It is necessary to select the one through which the satellite tuner will be connected to the TV. Modern TVs have a variety of connection connectors. Mostly they use a RCA or HDMI plug if the tuner and TV allow it to be used.
Step 3
After connecting all the connectors, we proceed to setting up the tuner. To do this, you must select any channel and the corresponding type of setting. If the AUTO type is selected, the tuning will take place in automatic mode, and the found channels will be automatically stored in the tuner's memory, their sequence number will be recorded as the next new programs are found. You can also select the "Manual" tuning type - then only the channel that was selected at the time of tuning will be tuned. To change the next channel, the tuner will have to select the appropriate command. There is also a fine tuning that will better tune a specific channel.
Step 4
The basic setting is considered complete, i.e. the satellite tuner can be operated. However, in addition to the basic setting, the tuner has additional settings that make its operation more comfortable. For example, the tuner can be set to turn on and off automatically, set the date and time. Also, some tuners allow you to automatically record video to a personal computer or external media.
