Step 1
A properly working Wi-Fi module is required to connect to any wireless access point. This can be a device built into a laptop, a PCI adapter that plugs into the motherboard, or a USB device that works with Wi-Fi. Choose the right equipment.

Update the drivers for your device. This is a very important point, because some models of adapters require specific programs that allow you to configure the parameters of the device.

Turn on the Wi-Fi module. Mobile computers usually have dedicated keys to control this equipment. If you are using a desktop computer, open Device Manager and make sure the Wi-Fi adapter is active.

Click on the network connections icon. On Windows systems, it is located in the lower right corner of the desktop. Select the desired wireless network and click the "Connect" button. Wait for the password prompt to appear. Enter the desired combination.
