Instructions
Step 1
If you need to switch to another language, but you are not going to use it for a long time, use the language bar, most often it is located on the right side of the taskbar. By clicking on it with the left mouse button, you can see a list of available languages, by default these are Russian and English.
Step 2
This method may not seem convenient to you, but there is an alternative option: in all operating systems of the Windows family, hot keys are provided for changing the language, using which you can switch the keyboard layout without using the language bar. In different versions, by default it can be alt="Image" + Shift or Ctrl + Shift, one of these combinations will probably work. Hotkeys can be configured independently, for example, for this in Windows XP go to the control panel, select the item "Regional and Language Options", then the tab languages - in more detail - keyboard settings. Now in the window that appears, you can configure new keyboard shortcuts.
Step 3
Despite the convenience and simplicity of the two previous methods, in the case when the language change on the keyboard should occur every few minutes, or even more often, they may not be very suitable. If you have encountered such inconveniences, then you will surely like the function of auto-switching the language using special programs. The most popular of them is Punto Switcher, this utility is able to switch the layout literally on the fly, when a word is already written half or even completely, warning about this with a characteristic sound signal, and ridiculous letter combinations are automatically turned into the word you have written.
