Step 1
Click on an empty area of the desktop with the right mouse button and select "Screen Resolution" in the context menu. In the window that appears, left-click on the "Additional parameters" section. A window will appear in which select the "Adapter" tab. At the top of the window there will be a line "Adapter type", and just below - information about the adapter model. In this way, you will receive basic information about the video card model and the amount of memory.

This method, in addition to the model name, will show the main characteristics of the video card. Click "Start" and click on the "All Programs" component. From the list of programs select "Accessories", then - "Command line". On this line, enter the dxdiag command. In the window that appears, select the "Display" tab. A window will open with information about the video card model. Opposite the name "Name" you will see the name of the graphics adapter, and next to the "Manufacturer" - the name of the manufacturer. Also in this window you can see the amount of video card memory. The right window displays information about the version of the graphics adapter driver and the date it was created.

In case you need to know the full information about the video card, download the Everest program. Install this application on your computer. After starting the program, you will see that the application window is split into two halves. Find the Display component in the left window. Click on the arrow next to this component. Now select "GPU" from the list that appears.

All information about your video card will be displayed in the right window of the program. The information window will be divided into several sections. You can find out which version of DirectX your video card supports, processor frequency and other operating parameters. In addition, at the bottom of the window you can see information about the drivers, the need to update them. There are also links to the manufacturer's website where you can download them.
