Instructions

Step 1

Launch the Task Manager utility by right-clicking on an empty space on the desktop to open the context menu and select the Task Manager item. An alternative way to launch the tool is to simultaneously press the Ctrl + Alt + Delete keys with the Task Manager command.

Step 2

Perform a full virus scan of your computer if the utility fails to run, and visit the Microsoft Web site for the latest information on viruses.

Step 3

Use the startup sequence described above when Task Manager appears as a green icon in the notification area instead of the taskbar as other programs are minimized.

Select Options and uncheck the Hide Collapsed box.

Select the desired view mode. To switch to the display mode of menus and tabs, double-click on the border of the application window.
