Autosave is one of the functions of various applications and computer games, thanks to which you can avoid losing data even if the computer is suddenly turned off. However, if you do not need this function, you can turn it off.
Instructions
Step 1
Disable autosave in one of the programs in the Microsoft Office suite. To do this, go to the "File" tab of the main menu and select the "Options" item. Click on the "Save" tab. Here you need to uncheck the box next to the "Autosave" item or just increase the time after which the program performs this action.
Step 2
Stop autosave the current state of the operating system. This can be done by right-clicking on the "My Computer" icon and selecting "Properties". Here go to the "System Restore" tab. Activate the "Disable System Restore" option or reduce the disk space allocated to auto-save the current system state. If it is minimal, the data will no longer be saved.
Step 3
Deactivate autosave in a computer game. In most applications of this kind, this function is disabled in the same way. In the main menu of the game, go to the settings. Select "Other Settings". Usually, this is where the item activating the automatic data saving is located. Disable this function. Please note that some games do not include autosave deactivation. Basically, these are those in which the data is saved at regular intervals at the so-called "checkpoints".
