Album name: Unknown, artist: Unknown, genre: Unknown. This picture is usually shown by the player when playing music ripped from a CD. And in files downloaded from the Internet, tags with information about the album are sometimes missing or displayed incorrectly. Instructions
Step 1
Open the album you want in Windows Media Player (comes standard with Windows). If the album has not yet been loaded into the player's library, right-click on an empty field at the very top of the program window. In the menu that appears, select "File" - "Open". Open the folder where the music you want is stored - it will be loaded into the library.
Step 2
Find the desired album in the player's library and right-click on the Unknown inscription displayed in the "Album name" field. In the context menu that appears, select the "Change" item. Enter the album name and press Enter on the keyboard - the title has been successfully edited. All other data - genre, year, track titles, if necessary, can be edited in the same way.
Step 3
Open the album in Winamp player. You can download the latest version of this program absolutely free from the official website of the developer. To load an album into the library, right-click on the red "Main Menu" button in the upper left corner of the program window. In the menu that opens, select "Open" - "Folder". Select the folder with the music you want.
Step 4
Highlight all the desired tracks in the list and right-click. Select the "Change metadata" item in the menu that opens, or simply press the Ctrl + E combination on the keyboard.
Step 5
Put a check mark in the window that opens opposite the "Album name" field and enter the title by hand. If necessary, edit the Genre and Year fields in the same way. Click the Update button. Title edited.
Step 6
Download the Mp3tag program from the Internet (for example, version 2.49 was used). Click on the "Change folder" icon in the program window. Select the folder with the music you want.
Step 7
Select all the necessary tracks in the program window on the right, and on the left in the "Album" field, enter the name of the music disc. If necessary, edit other parameters as well - artist name, genre, year, etc.
Step 8
Click on the "Save" button in the program menu. A window will appear on the screen with a message about the successful saving of changes in the tags of the selected files.
