When you turn on the computer, the initial screen usually displays information about the motherboard. The manufacturer is indicated first, then the series.

You can also determine the series of the motherboard using special software. Download and install the AIDA64 Extreme Edition software on your computer. Start it up. Wait for the system scan to complete. Next, in the right window of the program, click on "Motherboard", and in the next window that appears, also select "Motherboard".
Step 4
A window will appear with information about the motherboard. In this window, find the section "Properties of the motherboard", and in it - the line "Motherboard". The meaning of this line contains the name of the manufacturer and the series of the motherboard. For example, in the meaning of the string Asus M5A78L, Asus is the manufacturer, M5A78 is the model series of the device, and M5A78L is the name of the motherboard model. At the bottom of the program window there are links to the device manufacturer's website, to updating the BIOS, etc.

You can also use the TuneUp Utilities program. Install it on your computer. Next, in its main menu, select "Fix problems", then - "Show system information". You will be able to view general information about the computer, including information about the series of the motherboard.
