Openbox is a digital receiver that has a software encoding emulator and gives you the opportunity to enjoy watching encoded channels. At the same time, you do not need any smart cards: you just need to insert the keys into the flash-memory.
Necessary
- - receiver with remote control;
- - a personal computer with access to the global network.
Instructions
Step 1
Turn on the emulator. To do this, press the "Menu" button on the remote control. Aim the remote control at the receiver and while holding the remote control in this position, dial the following combination of numbers in sequence: 19370. In the menu that appears, enter the following numbers: 2486. Using the HCAS on / off menu, the emulator can be turned off. The Load Default Key option allows you to restore the keys that were loaded into the receiver at the time of purchase. And by pressing Edit Key, you will enter a menu that allows you to edit keys.
Step 2
Edit the keys. To do this, select the Edit Key function. In response to the appeared request for entering the password, dial 0000. A menu with a list of keys and encodings will immediately appear. Use the arrows on the remote control to select the desired encoding. Then select the key to be replaced and click on the red button on the remote control and on line 8 Byte Key. Commit the changes by clicking "OK". After all this, enter the key and click on Exit. When you exit this program, the question will appear: "Are you sure that you entered the key correctly?" Click "OK": this way you will confirm your confidence in the correctness of the key.
Step 3
Download a program on the Internet that allows you to edit the receiver keys on a personal computer. Install this software. Make the necessary changes and transfer them to the Openbox receiver via the COM port.
