In the graphics editor Photoshop, you can fill layers or fragments of an image with a gradient - two or more colors with a smooth transition between them. Let's see how this is done in practice.
Instructions
Step 1
Load the photo into Photoshop and select the area for which you want to fill with the gradient. You can make a selection using the Magic Wand, Lasso, Pen or any other convenient means.
Step 2
Right-click and choose Layer via Copy to create a new layer with a selection.
Step 3
From the Layers menu, right click on the new layer and choose Blending Options.
Step 4
In the dialog box that opens, go to the Gradient Overlay section.
Step 5
Here you can select the colors of the gradient fill, set the direction of transition of colors, their intensity, and perform other settings. By checking the box next to the Preview item, all changes will be visible in the photo.
Step 6
When you are finished working with the gradient, close the window and merge the layers using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + E, and then save the photo by choosing the Save as command from the File menu.
