Updating components of antivirus programs is certainly important and necessary from a security point of view, but sometimes it becomes necessary to disable updates. Let's see how to do this in Nod32.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the main program window by right-clicking on the ESET icon in the system tray (tray), then select the "Open window" command in the context menu that appears.

In the left part of the program window, left-click on the "Settings" category. Further, in the second part of the window, you will see a command that includes the advanced settings mode, click on it.
Step 3
So, after you have entered the advanced settings mode, on the left side of the window, where the list of settings sections is located, find the "Update" section and select it by clicking the left mouse button.
Step 4
Now in the update settings window, find the line "Advanced update settings". Opposite it there will be a button "Settings …", which calls the window of additional settings. Click on this button.
Step 5
In the "Advanced settings" window that appears, in the "Program components update" section, select the "Never update program components" option. Then click on the "OK" button at the bottom of the window to confirm the changes made. It should be noted that disabling the update for a long period, especially with a constant active connection to the Internet or to an urban local area network such as VPN, may be unfavorable for your computer.
