Despite the fact that home PCs have become several times more powerful over the past decade, the problem of performance and speed will not go away tomorrow. However, every user is able to speed up his computer - all he has to do is take good care of it and install several cleaning programs.
Instructions
Step 1
Reinstall Windows. This procedure should be done at least once every six months: no matter how diligently you take care of your car, errors, tails and residual program codes still accumulate on it. In addition, it is almost impossible to clean an overly cluttered PC, so starting from scratch is usually easier. Please note that the Windows version should be selected individually for each computer. So setting the "Seven" on a weak system will only lead to endless freezes, while on a powerful processor the same "7" can show much better performance than "XP".
Step 2
Use your computer carefully. Try not to install any programs unless absolutely necessary. In addition, train yourself to remove software only using the appropriate item in the system - if you simply delete the folder with the game, then there will be a lot of unnecessary "tails", which are almost impossible to clean out manually. Be sure to install an antivirus on your computer (which one is purely a matter of taste, they all work about the same).
Step 3
Install a number of programs to clean and speed up your PC. There are a great many of them on the Internet, and they specialize in removing unnecessary information from the system that has accumulated due to active use. In addition, the software can disable processes that you do not use (for example, network protocols), thereby freeing up a solid amount of RAM. It is also necessary to note the CCleaner program, which cleans up the hard disk. It can free up up to 30 GB of disk space at a time without affecting your personal information.
Step 4
Defragment regularly. This process, which is a mystery to many, is nothing more than the "ordering" of information. Despite the fact that the files are divided into folders and directories, inside the hard disk (at the hardware level) they can be located completely chaotically, which slows down the system. After you defragment the system, it will structurally streamline itself, and the speed of access to files (and therefore the operation of the software) will increase.
