The use of a personal computer by several users is the basic scenario from which the manufacturers of operating systems proceed. From the point of view of statistics, they are right, just as they are right in that they have foreseen scenarios for using a computer by one user. And in multi-user mode, there is not always a need to separate operators by their personal logins and passwords. In such cases, there is no need to slow down the OS loading by entering a password and selecting a user.

Step 1
The system will not ask for a password at every boot if only one active account is registered in it without specifying a user password. Based on this, it would be logical to delete all but one OS users. However, this can lead to the inoperability of some applications, as they automatically create during installation and then use the account for the service user. This is done, for example, by the ASP. NET framework, which is required for many applications. To use the alternative, log in with a username that has administrator rights. After that, open the "Run the program" dialog. This can be done using the hotkeys WIN + R or by selecting the "Run" item in the main menu (on the "Start" button).
Step 2
Then type in the input field "control userpasswords2" (or copy and paste from here) and press the Enter key or the "OK" button. The run command entered works the same in Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows XP. On Vista and Seven, you can just as well use "netplwiz" (no quotes).
Step 3
This will launch the utility, the title of which will say "User Accounts". Here you should select the required user in the proposed list and uncheck the box "Require username and password to be entered." It is located above the list of system user accounts. Then click the "OK" button.
Step 4
The utility will open a window titled "Automatic Login". Here you need to enter the password for the selected user and click the "OK" button. But if this account did not have a password, leave the password field empty. The result of these manipulations will be the absence of a password prompt when the computer boots.
