Step 1
There are many ways to find out about your processor model. The simplest of them is as follows. Right-click on "My Computer". Then select "Properties" from the menu. A window will open with basic information about your processor, its frequency and manufacturer.

If you are interested in more detailed information, you can use special programs. One of the simplest programs is CPU-Z. The utility is free. Download and, if necessary, install the program. Some versions of CPU-Z do not require installation. Start it up. In a second, a window will appear in which there will be detailed information about your processor. You can see its bit depth, the amount of cache memory and many other parameters.
Step 3
If this information seemed to you a little, and you need to find out the most detailed information about the processor and its potential, then the Everest program is for you. It is very functional but commercial. After downloading, install Everest on your computer hard drive.
Step 4
Run the program. Wait until the collection of information about your system is complete. The program menu will appear. It will be divided into two parts. On the right side of the menu, there will be a list of all major devices. You need "Motherboard", click on it. After that, a list of devices that are connected to your motherboard will appear. In this list, select "CPU", that is, "Central Processing Unit". In the window that appears, there will be very detailed information about your processor. At the bottom of the window there are links to the processor manufacturer's website and to the page where you can update the drivers. Double click on the link with the left mouse button, and it will open in the Internet browser. Or you can just copy the link into the address bar of your browser.
