The Windows operating system allows users to change the theme, but there is only a choice of one of the pre-installed options. To add other themes, you need to use third-party applications.
Instructions
Step 1
Launch Control Panel and go to Display Properties. On the "Appearance" tab, you can specify various options for the color scheme of system windows and toolbars, set a different font and wallpaper for the desktop. The created variants can be saved and used in the future as themes by selecting them on the Themes tab.
Step 2
Download and install the program to add new Windows themes if you are not satisfied with the current ones. You can bypass the restrictions on installing third-party design options by downloading a patch for a file that specifies the appropriate permissions. It is this file that causes the message that the system does not have support for themes.
Step 3
Find the UxThemePatcher utility on the Internet and download it. An alternative option is the Personalization Panel program, which is suitable for all versions of Windows and supports Russian and English.
Step 4
Go to https://windowstheme.ru where you can download and install new themes for Windows. You will find the corresponding button at the bottom of the screen. Confirm the download of the file. The themes presented on the site are free.
Step 5
Start the loader program. You will see an offer to download a personalization panel with additional options. Specify only the Personalization Panel item. Wait for the download process to complete.
Step 6
Click "Yes, Run" after the download of the personalization panel setup file is complete. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen. The program will unlock the AERO interface and translucency in simpler versions of the system, as well as install 10 new themes.
Step 7
Restart your computer. Now through the "Control Panel" you can select themes downloaded from the Internet and customize them to your liking.
