Files are constituent parts of the operating system. Most of them are available to users, they can be moved to various folders, edited and other operations performed on them.
Instructions
Step 1
You can place all files on your computer's hard drive into any of the available folders. To do this, you must have administrator rights when accessing the computer, since other users may have restrictions on performing operations with various system components.
Step 2
Try moving one of the files to the selected folder. To do this, click on it with the left mouse button and, without releasing it, drag it into the window with a folder, where it will immediately appear. The same operation can be performed by copying or cutting a file from the previous directory. Click on it with the right mouse button and select "Copy" or "Cut". Next, right-click on an empty field in the window of the selected folder and select "Paste". The copied file will appear in the new folder, while the original copy will remain in the previous location. The cut files in the old folder disappear.
Step 3
You can place the file on one of the removable media, for example, on a USB flash drive, by connecting it to the corresponding connector on your computer or laptop. Send it to media using drag and drop or copy / paste. In the same way, you can write files to an external hard drive or floppy disk. If your computer supports the CD-ROM writing function, you can send the files to a disc by placing it in a drive and burning with a dedicated burning program.
Step 4
Try putting the file on the internet. You can attach it to an email and send it to another person. Also, some types of files, such as music, pictures, videos or text documents, can be posted on a personal page in one of the social networks. In addition, there are special storage sites on the Internet that offer users to place files for saving and editing.
