Windows Task Manager is a standard utility included with Microsoft Windows NT / 2000 / XP / 2003 / Vista / 7/2008 operating systems. This tool displays real-time information about programs and processes running on your computer and estimates system resource and network utilization.
Instructions
Step 1
Click the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the system and go to the "Run" item to enable the task manager.
Step 2
Enter the value gpedit.msc in the search bar and click OK to execute the command.
Step 3
Go to the User Configuration section and open the System folder on the left side of the Group Policy window.
Step 4
Select Options Ctrl + Alt_Del and wait for the Properties: Remove Task Manager dialog box to appear.
Step 5
Go to the "Option" tab and apply the checkbox to the "Disabled" field.
Step 6
Click the "Apply" button and confirm your choice by clicking the OK button.
Step 7
Explore the capabilities of each of the 6 tabs in the Task Manager window and use them as needed.
Step 8
Select the "frozen" program with a left mouse click on the "Applications" tab to force it to shut down and click the "End task" button at the bottom of the window. Confirm the execution of the command by clicking OK.
Step 9
Select the currently unnecessary process by left-clicking on the "Processes" tab for forced termination and click the "End Process" button at the bottom of the window. Confirm the execution of the command by clicking OK.
Step 10
Review the real-time processor utilization information on the Performance tab. The red color of the graph shows the processes of the system, green - the processes of the user.
Step 11
Pay attention to the load data of the local network on the "Network" tab.
Step 12
Make sure that all users currently on the computer appear as accounts on the User tab.
Step 13
View information about all Windows services on the Services tab.
Step 14
Return to the main Start menu and go to Run to disable the Task Manager service.

Enter gpedit in the search bar and click OK to execute the command.

Go to the User Configuration section and open the System folder on the left side of the Group Policy window.

Select Ctrl + Alt + Del Features and wait for the Properties: Remove Task Manager dialog box to appear.
