Having become the proud owner of an Android smartphone, you gradually begin to notice that the battery is not enough for a long time, and you need to save it. For example, when the phone is not needed in the near future, it is better to turn it off.

You can turn the smartphone on and off using a special button, which is most often located on the right side of the phone case. There are also smartphones in which the shutdown button is located on the left side of the phone body.
This button is usually indicated by an off symbol - a circle with a stripe in the center. Nearby, on the same button, a lock can also be drawn, which means that using this button you can lock the device.
So, if you press this button once, you can unlock or lock the phone. And in our case, you need to press this button and hold it for a few seconds until a menu with 3 lines appears on the screen - "Turn off the power", "Restart" and "Enable flight mode". We select the item "Turn off the power" and that's it - the smartphone is turned off.
It is also possible to turn on and off the smartphone without using the shutdown button - using various applications. For example, some applications are able to turn off the phone depending on its orientation in space. If you enable one of the modes, the device will turn off the moment it is placed in your pocket, and if you select the second mode, the gadget turns off when it is placed on the table with the screen facing down. This effect is possible due to the use of proximity sensors and an accelerometer.
With these mobile apps, you can turn your smartphone on and off without having to constantly click the off button. This does not increase the power consumption of the device.
