An addon is some kind of addition (interface modification). The way they are installed depends on the program to which they are installed. For example, in the case of the "WoW" server, they are an addition to the game interface.
The developers of the games "WoW" have given the opportunity for players to change almost everything - buttons and frames, displayed information and methods of its output, and much more. Addons facilitate the performance of certain game actions with great comfort. For example, you can see your inventory folded in one bag and at the same time enable automatic grouping of items. Or observe all the skills of the players in the guild, etc. Using add-ons requires additional computer memory and often reduces its performance. If your computer is not very powerful, be careful about the number of addons included. Addons can be selectively disabled at any time. Due to the security system, they are prohibited from certain actions (for example, modifying files on the computer and sending information to the Internet). You can download the necessary add-ons on the Internet by typing the corresponding search query in the browser bar. Let's say you have chosen an add-on that suits you and decided to install it. First of all, download it and save it in a prominent place. As a rule, this is a zip or rar archive file, then you need to open the downloaded archive and drag its contents into the folder: _WoWInterfaceAddons. If the game is installed on your computer, for example, in C: GamesWoW, unpack the archive into a folder located at: C: GamesWoWInterfaceAddons. If the archive contained, for example, folders with the names "AtlasBattlegrounds" and "Atlas", then after your actions, you should see these folders in the "Addons" directory. To enable addons, start the game (close it if it is running and then start it again). Enter your password and click the Modifications button located in the lower left corner of the screen. A window will open where you can enable or disable any installed addons.
