Device Manager is a useful management tool for the Windows operating system. It allows you to get information about installed software, update drivers and make changes to hardware settings.

Instructions
Step 1
Go to the "Start" menu and select "Control Panel".

Click the Hardware and Sound button in the context menu.

Use the "Device Manager" button. If the user has built-in administrator rights, the program window will open. If the user belongs to the "Administrators" workgroup, click the "Continue" button in the "User Account Control" window that opens. If the user does not have administrator rights, a warning window will open about the impossibility of making changes. Click the OK button to open the device manager in view mode.
Another way to open Device Manager is by using the command line.

Click the Start button and type mmc devmgmt.msc in the search bar. It should be remembered that restrictions on rights are valid in all options for starting the device manager utility.
One of the easiest ways to open Device Manager is by using the Windows GUI.

Enter the Start Menu. Use the "Manage" option in the "My Computer" service menu invoked by right-clicking on the "My Computer" field.

Select "Device Manager".
Being an administrative tool, Device Manager allows you to control its launch from the Computer Management window.

Click the Start button and type mmc compmgmt.msc in the search bar. This action will open the Computer Management window.

Select "Device Manager".
An additional option is the ability to launch Device Manager from a remote computer.

Click the "Start" button and use the "Control" option in the "My Computer" service menu, invoked by right-clicking on the "My Computer" field.

Select the line "Connect to another computer" in the service menu "Action".
Step 11
Click the "Browse" button (if necessary - "Advanced") in the "Select another computer" window that opens to search for the desired device. Confirm your choice with the OK button. It is possible to enter the computer name in the text line.
If the connection is successful, the name of the connected device will be visible in brackets next to the Computer Management icon.
