Windows users have the ability to change the icons of executable files to any images on the hard disk of the computer. The icon can be selected by changing the settings directly in the operating system itself.
Instructions
Step 1
Right click on the image you want to use as the executable file icon. Select "Properties" from the context menu. Click on the General tab.
Step 2
Look at the "Save as type" heading at the top of the window. Check if the image is in ". ICO" format. Close the Properties window. If the image is in a format other than ". ICO", return to the desktop and launch your web browser.
Step 3
Go to the website https://iconverticons.com/. Click on the "Browse" button and select the image file that you want to use as an icon. Click on the file name and select "OK"
Step 4
Click on the "Convert" button. Wait for the new page to load with the image converted to a file icon. Press the "Download ICO" button. Pay attention to the folder where the file converted into an icon will be sent.
Step 5
Navigate to the executable and right click on it. Select "Properties" and go to the "Shortcut" tab. Click the Change Icon button at the bottom of the window.
Step 6
Select "Browse" from the menu. Find the created icon that you downloaded earlier. Click on the file name and click "OK". Select "Apply" to change the icon.
