Instructions

Step 1

Choose a location for the taskbar. You can leave it in the same place or move it in the same way as a similar panel is located in other operating systems, such as Linux and Apple Mac OS, i.e. at the top, right, or left edges of the screen. You can also hide the start bar. It will appear only when you move the mouse cursor over its location. So, to complete any task, you need to have a clearly formulated goal. If you have decided, then proceed with its implementation. If not, then just start trying to move the panel to other places - suddenly understanding will come in the process of action.

Step 2

Right-click on any free area of the taskbar. A menu will appear in front of you. Select "Properties" in it. Click on it once with the left mouse button. After that, you will see another menu that appears on the screen. It will be called Taskbar and Start Menu Properties. Click once on the "Taskbar" tab. If this tab is already active, then you no longer need to click on it. Here you will see various properties of the taskbar. In this case, you are interested in "Position of the taskbar on the screen" and "Dock the taskbar".

Step 3

Uncheck the box next to "Dock the taskbar" if it is checked. Choose from four options. You can move the start bar down, up, to the right or to the left of the screen. Left-click once on the arrow next to the current position of the taskbar.

Step 4

Choose one of the above four options. After that, check the box next to "Dock the taskbar" so that it does not move anywhere else without your consent. Then click the "Apply" button. The taskbar will move. See if this option suits you. If not, do the above steps again until the desired result is achieved.
