If you have purchased a new scanner model, you must uninstall the old scanner driver before connecting it to your computer. Or the driver simply stopped working correctly and it became necessary to reinstall it. Removing scanner drivers is not much different from uninstalling a regular program. Step 1
The first way to be covered is using the driver software uninstaller. Click Start. Then select "All Programs". Find the driver software and select Uninstall. Then follow the prompts of the Uninstall Wizard to uninstall the scanner driver.

If there is no scanner in the list of programs of the uninstaller, uninstall the driver like this. Open the control panel of the operating system and find "Add or Remove Programs" on it. Next in the list of programs, find the scanner software and right-click on it. Then select "Delete" from the list of suggested options. The operating system will uninstall the scanner driver.
Step 3
Sometimes it happens that during the uninstallation process, the system throws an error, and it is interrupted. If you have such a situation, then the Revo Uninstaller program will help you to uninstall the scanner driver. This program can be found on the Internet and downloaded for free. It will not take up much space on the hard drive. Download and install Revo Uninstaller on your computer.
Step 4
Run the program. A window will appear listing all the software that is installed on the hard drive. Find the scanner software and click on it with the left mouse button. Then select "Delete" on the toolbar. In the next window, select the "Advanced" uninstall mode and proceed further.
Step 5
In the Registry Entries window, check all, then click Delete. While uninstalling, click Next until the Forgotten Files window appears. In this window, click "Select All - Delete" and proceed further. After completing the uninstallation process, click “Finish”. The program window will close. Reboot your computer. Now both the driver and the device software are completely removed from your computer. The system registry is also cleared of scanner software entries.
