Adobe Photoshop is one of the most popular graphics editors in the world. It allows you to perform thousands of common tasks associated with the creation of raster (bitmap) graphics. One of these tasks is to apply a template to a photo in Photoshop.
Instructions
Step 1
Finding a template is the first stage of editing. Using templates is the fastest and easiest tool for most tasks. Most often, layouts are found in psd and tiff formats. There are both paid templates (Shutterstock.com) and free (Olik.ru).
Step 2
Template in psd format (standard "Photoshop" format) is the most convenient to work with. It represents a set of layers, each of which contains significant image elements.
Step 3
To show / hide a layer, you need to open the Layers palette ("Layers"). Next to the thumbnail of each layer, there is an “eye” on the left, indicating the state of the current element. To change the state, click on it.
Step 4
You need to combine the existing photo with the template file. To do this, drag it from the window for working with your image into the "template" window. Another layer will automatically appear.
Step 5
The general appearance of the image depends on the transparency of the layers and their order. In the Layers palette, select the layer with the least significant elements and drag it to the bottom of the list, down. Instead, fill in the top of the list with the most important elements. Remove unnecessary layers by transferring them to the trash on the palette or by pressing the Delete button on the active layer.
Step 6
Remove unnecessary parts of important elements with the Eraser tool. To do this, click the icon on the toolbar, make the layer you want to edit active and visible, and erase the excess.
Step 7
Resizing of template objects and photos is possible using the Free Transform tool.
Step 8
More detailed imposition of the template in Photoshop will allow tools Zoom ("Increase the size") and Magnetic Lasso ("Magnetic lasso"). The first will allow you to get a detailed view of the image, the second will increase the selection precision.
